daemontools-run software package provides daemontools service supervision, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install daemontools-run
daemontools-run is installed in your system.
Make ensure the daemontools-run package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep daemontools-run *
You will get with daemontools-run package name, version, architecture and description in a table
